Happy 5th Birthday, KC Streetcar

Five years ago, Kansas City welcomed back streetcars to the downtown streets. More than 50 years have passed since streetcars covered 300+ miles of our metropolitan region. On May 6, 2016, that all changed with the launch of the modern KC Streetcar system.

Now, five years and six streetcars later, we celebrate all of our riders, employees, businesses and wonderful community that continues to support us every day. 8.8 million passenger trips since Opening Day and we’ve only just started.
