The Kansas City Streetcar Authority (KCSA) is excited to announce a dazzling transformation as KC Streetcar #802 gets a vibrant makeover with the Dream Streetcar wrap. This whimsical creation brings a touch of childhood nostalgia and pink vibes to the heart of downtown Kansas City.
On Friday, September 1, the Dream Streetcar will hit the tracks, capturing riders of all ages with its whimsical design and attention to detail thanks to the magical work of Whiskey Design. The Dream Streetcar wrap features varying shades of pink, hints of glitter, and call outs like “Dream Streetcar” and “Kensas City”. But the magic doesn’t end at the door. As riders board the Dream Streetcar, they will have the option of choosing amongst a variety of seats like Stereotypical Barbie, President Barbie, Cowboy Ken, and even Allan (Hey, Allan!).
“The Dream Streetcar wrap is a symbol of the boundless potential within all of us, and we hope it brings smiles to the faces of riders, Kansas Citians, and visitors alike,” said Donna Mandelbaum, Communications & Marketing Director with the KCSA. “The KC Streetcar is more than just a mode of transportation, but it is a connector to, and for, our city. By creating opportunities like the Dream Streetcar, we connect our riders more fully to our vibrant downtown community and to each other,” said Mandelbaum.
As thousands of people head to downtown Kansas City this weekend and hop on the KC Streetcar to enjoy the Crossroads Arts District, Kansas City Irish Fest, and the Kansas City Chalk and Walk Fest in the City Market, they can capture photos and share their excitement on social media using the hashtag #DreamStreetcar and #KCStreetcar. Riders can also take the Dream Streetcar to Mainstreet KC Theaters in the Power & Light District to watch the Barbie Movie.
Track the Dream Streetcar #802 on our website and make plans to ride it this weekend. More information about the process can be found on the KC Streetcar Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.
