Media Event

What:   On Friday, January 8, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will join (virtually) with the City of Kansas City, Mo., the KC Streetcar Authority, and the KC Area Transportation Authority to make a major funding announcement at a brief ceremony.

When:  Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11a.m.

Where: The Kansas City Streetcar Singleton Yard Maintenance Facility. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event is closed to the public, but those interested in participating are invited to tune in virtually at 11a.m. on the KC Streetcar’s official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/kcstreetcar). 

Who:    The event will feature FTA Deputy Administrator K. Jane Williams (virtually), Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and City Manager Brian Platt, local elected officials, members of the KC Streetcar Authority Board of Directors, the KCATA, project partners, and more. 

MEDIA: Members of the media are invited to attend but capacity is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. Parking is available along Holmes Street and attendees will enter the Singleton Yard from the back gated entrance off of Holmes Street (not the front door entrance). Face masks are required and you will be required to sign in upon entrance.
