Chiefs Kingdom Parade 2020

KC Streetcar service will be suspended on Wednesday, February 5, for the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade.

Kansas City will host the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade for the Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Wednesday, February 5 at 11:30 a.m. The parade will be followed by a victory rally at Union Station.

As a result of anticipated record crowds downtown, safety and operational considerations, and parade logistics at Union Station, the KC Streetcar Authority has decided to suspend service prior to, and during, the parade. Additionally, the closure of Grand Boulevard between 3rd-5th Streets and Main Street south of 20th Street does affect the KC Streetcar route.

KC Streetcar service will conclude as scheduled on Tuesday evening, February 4, and not resume until safe to do so after the parade on Wednesday.

“The KC Streetcar team congratulates the Kansas City Chiefs on their World Championship. We look forward to helping make Wednesday’s parade and celebration as successful as it possibly can be,” said Tom Gerend, executive director, KC Streetcar Authority.
