100 Ton Crane

Turnout track placed on the Viaduct

On Thursday, May 21, crews with the KC Streetcar Constructors placed the turnout track on the Main Street Viaduct. This specialized work required the use of a 100 ton crane to place the rail, which was completed while maintaining two-way traffic on the Viaduct.  The T-rail weighed more than 18,600 lb. and will connect the northbound and southbound track.
