Project Progress Update

Progress-Charts-May-1-2015-700x400The orange cones are starting to diminish up and down Main Street as significant progress is being made in the construction of the downtown KC Streetcar.

Approximately 96% of century old sewer and water lines along the alignment have been upgraded or replaced, totaling 32,687 linear feet of new and improved lines.

More than 15,430 feet of track is completely constructed from the Main Street Bridge to the River Market, with crews starting to work on track construction connecting to the Singleton Yard. The foundations for the overhead system that will power the Streetcar is more than 85% complete, while the Singleton Yard (the Vehicle Maintenance Facility), is about 77% compl
