Rolling into Red Friday with the KC Streetcar

Celebrate the official start of Kansas City Chiefs season on board with the KC Streetcar this Wednesday

The KC Streetcar Authority is ready to kick off the 2019 Kansas City Chiefs season with a specially designed Chiefs Streetcar, which includes the new Kansas City Chiefs 60th season logo, brand and eight different Chiefs players.

The Chiefs Streetcar officially rolled out on Friday, August 30, just in time for the crowds at KC Irish Fest and a busy downtown weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs and the KC Streetcar Authority (KCSA), together with Sprint, wrapped one streetcar in Chiefs branding to kick off Red Friday and the Chiefs 2019 season opener on September 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In addition to the Chiefs Streetcar, the Chiefs and the KCSA are throwing a pre-Red Friday celebration on Wednesday, September 4 from noon – 1:00 p.m. with Chiefs representatives, KC Wolf and the Chiefs Rumble. The celebration will start at noon at the Union Station KC Streetcar stop where the party will board the Chiefs Streetcar and ride around downtown. The Chiefs crew will also head to the Power & Light District Streetcar stop at 14th & Main Street and take the party to the PNC Plaza and back to the Metro Streetcar stop at 12th & Main Street. There will be giveaways and prizes for those in attendance, including Chiefs and KC Streetcar merchandise.

Track the exact location of the Chiefs Streetcar, otherwise known as Streetcar 805, using the free KCity Post tracker for or the RideKC Transit App for smart phones.
